I'm sure they have their reasons. the forums have been a great communication tools between the company and their customers and will hopefully return.

Hi

It would appear my browser does not "see" the form as using the link giving above i see in the news
"
2012-07-24

Resources available directly from this site.

The forum resources and SBS Resources are now available from this site. Kinetic will be providing a new interface to request specific resources such as logos and for our loyal providers to provide such resources respecting their relavent copyright notices."

on top right  there is an icon for access to forum
click icon and all I get with Firefox is the  working on it"

So I must be doing something wrong

If you click on forum you will get the out of order text. Instead click on support and select SBS Resource downloads

The forums are back"
The Forum has been restored back to the 1st July 2012 database in order to allow those who wish to copy off or contribute new information from it to have the opportunity to do so. Kinetic will begin an active consultation on pruning at the beginning of September 2012 in order to rationalise content and management. "

Very interesting - anyone know what happened?

Sounds a lot like some mass activity that Kinetic didn't like happened after 1st of July so they just took the whole forums off-line to hide it, and have now restored it prior to the times of trouble.

Well you're half right.

The "mass activity" was Kinetic itself deleting thousands of old, but still potentially useful, posts.

It was the user community that didn't like it, and said so in no uncertain terms, so Kinetic took the forum offline while they reviewed their actions.

Hopefully any future pruning of posts and threads will be done more judiciously.
Definitely and conclusively not associated in any way, shape or form with AirNav or Kinetic.

i suspect this may well be to do with the news pages
we are apparently are getting a firmware upgrade and a new version of basestation

i also suspect they will only answer questions on there own forum with these
which is hard to do if its closed down
